My final Sketch up Model

This image was chosen because it shows how the stairs from both upper and lower spaces interface with the gallery space.

In this image the inspiration attained from the words grow (upper space) and connect (lower space) are clearly demonstrated. For the upper space the way in which the light, free form of the steel grows from the solid concrete foundation is reminiscent of the Sparrow's carved artwork. This idea can also be seen in the stair in which the light steel treads grow out and up into the tunnel structure from the concrete wall. While the intersecting tunnels of the lower space serve as a symbol of connectivity like Goodwin's sculpture. The stair moving up from this space occupies the central column which acts as a connection between each of the spaces

This image shows a good overall view of the gallery complex. It also shows the contrast between the mass of the concrete and the lighter appearance of the steel that makes up the roof of the gallery and the upper space.
