Crysis Image Capture and Concept

Both Angela Merkel and Helen Keller are wielders of power. The bridge structure which hangs majestically in the valley defying gravity represents this commonality between the two women. However the power they wield is attained from different sources and manifested in different ways, hence the distinct aesthetic approach to each clients offices.

Keller's power is the result of her overcoming the huge communication barrier that existed in her early life. Through education she was able to empower her self in achieving this Keller was able to attain an almost intangible influence through her inspiring story which allowed her to pursue both her educational and political aims. The offices Built for Keller embody this concept. The outer cocoon representing the communication barrier she faced, its ability to open and allow light to flood in representing her educational empowerment. The irregular forms with in the cocoon represent the intangible nature of her power. Furthermore when closed the cocoon structure allows visitors to experience a symbolic detachment from the world which is representative of Keller's communication barrier.

Merkel's power in contrast to Keller's is a tangible and manifests its self in the form of rigid government organization and structure. Hence Merkel's offices consist of exposed steel frames filled in by a collection of prefabricated roof, wall and floor elements. The organisation of these prefabricated elements by the frames is representative of the the power that Merkel posses which is channeled through rigid government framework an policy.
